I saw this & thought it was the funniest thing ever. Maybe its just me (and Blake) but I think its hilarious!!

Tired.....
....and its only 5 o'clock! Its been a long few weeks. We are on week 5 of Blakes foot being broken. It will be 6 weeks this coming Tuesday! He is doing ok, slowly starting to walk with his boot but the boot is fighting back. So its still slow goings for him. The next dr. appt he has is in Feb so its another month & 1/2 of the boot. We got to see the X ray at the last appt & its just crazy to 'see' the broken bones. No pain which is good, its just uncomfortable for him in the boot.
I've been putting off all of my holiday cooking until today. I told Blake how odd that was because I am always impatient & try to get everything finished early. But this year I saved it all for today & I wish I hadn't! I was in the kitchen for ~ 3 1/2 hrs. I am happy to say that I am finished & everything turned out great. I can't wait to dig in. We are having Christmases with my family in Heber all of tomorrow & then celebrating with Blakes family on Christmas Day. :) I did have 1 minor setback today with my cooking-the microwave freaked out! Now normally this wouldn't be a huge deal but I use that thing for my timer and then we were also making chocolate covered pb crackers & we needed to melt the chocolate. All of a sudden the entire microwave shut down & we both thought we would have to go buy a new microwave. I was so irritated! Luckily Blake figured out it had just thrown its GFCI (whatever that means) & we were back up & running. Now, I'm taking a break & I'm getting take out for dinner, I am DONE cooking, HA!
Not much else news going on, things have been pretty quiet the past few weeks. I am just ready for a few days off & some good food! Anyways, hope everyone has a Merry Christmas & is safe in traveling!!

Holidaze
Like the title? I thought it was fitting. We had 3 Thanksgiving's this year in 2 days & we had a great time. Even though most of it did pass through kind of a daze. This was Blake's 2nd & 3rd outing with his broken foot so that was quite an experience. For the most part everything went fine & we all enjoyed the day (s). So now, only really 1 more day to recoup before going back to work. I told Blake today that I wouldn't know what to do when I actually had to work all 5 days this next week!
Today Blake been focused on the LSU game. At the end he started freaking out about the game & I started freaking out that he would hurt his foot. That game couldn't end quick enough for me! Since Blake was planning on spending the day watching football, I went out & finished most of our Christmas shopping. So I've spent the rest of the night wrapping presents. I'm glad to be almost finished. Conway wasn't that bad today, I was kind of wondering how bad Conway Commons would be but I didn't have any problems.
Anyways, now the countdown to Christmas starts! I am super excited about Christmas this year. I've found some great presents that I can't wait to share with everyone. Plus it will be my cousin Sarah's 1st Christmas. She looks so much like Tonya its not even funny! She gave me a few pictures of Sarah & Hannah but I haven't had time to scan them in but I will defiantly upload them. Anyways, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

All he wants for Christmas is......
......a NEW RIGHT FOOT! Had a free moment & thought I'd do a quick update! Well, 1 obvious bit of news is about Blakes foot.....he broke 3 bones in the mid-part of his foot. :( We are going to see an orthopedic dr tomorrow to hopefully get a boot and discuss the recovery & PT. He hasn't been out of the apt since last Tues & I'm sure he's going stir crazy! We are getting out tomorrow & hopefully will get to run a few errands. I've heard nothing but good things about 'boots' so I hope it will really help him get around easier & just make a lot of things easier. It really hasn't been too bad, Blakes been a model patient. The crutches were kind of an adjustment & I've learned a lot of things about having crutches in your home......as in remove all area rugs! He seems to be doing really good, virtually no more pain unless he moves his foot too much. The swelling finally seems to be going down too. But thats also part of the healing. And of course it had to be his RIGHT foot! AAARGH! So he defiantly won't be driving for quite some time. He seems to be getting around ok which is good, the 1st few days trying to learn the crutches were a little shaky (get it?!) but he is really getting around great. Hopefully in 4-6 weeks he'll be back to normal!
Other news-Thanksgiving is this week! We are attending 3 Thanksgiving meals this year. I am taking part of Wed off to get home & start on some cooking :) I am looking forward to visiting with everyone and eating all of the good food. I'm sure I say this every time but I can't believe this year is really flying by. I am just shocked that its already November! The later part of Nov. Christmas is only what ~ 32 days to Christmas?! I am still about 6 or 7 presents shy of being finished, which is bugging me to no end! But I've enjoyed shopping for gifts this year, I'm really excited about seeing everyones faces.
Works been good. I've been kind of nervous because I was basically subpoenaed for the entire month of Dec but long story short I don't have to worry about that anymore! YAY! Now I'm still 'booked' for January but I'm not as nervous about that. So I will get to just relax & enjoy the holidays instead of worrying about work. Alright I'm wrapping this up, I may do an update tomorrow about what the ortho dr. says, hopefully it will only be GREAT news!!

Busy busy busy...........
So we've been pretty busy lately. We've been going to some of the Razorback games! The Ole Miss game was interesting......for those of you that missed it, it was raining & eventually lightening & we had to be evacuated TWICE! I guess they didn't want us anywhere near the aluminum seating hahahaha. We are going to the last 'home' game of the season this weekend against UTEP. Its been a lot of fun. I have a few pictures from the Ole M game but I haven't had time to upload them yet, so maybe next time.
As far as other going's on-the holidays are slowly coming up. Aside from purchasing early xmas gifts we've been trying to plan the times/places for the holidays. I am really stumped on dirty santa gifts for my family so if anyone has any suggestions, PLEASE let me know! I have something in mind but I think I could do better.
Work has been busy, and a little bit stressful. All I will say is that I am ready for February to get here!!! Then maybe things will slow down. I am about to begin a new research project of sorts & I'm really excited about it. I hope it will keep me busy on my 'off' weeks. We'll see. Other than that its just work.
We've been to a few movies lately, but the 1 I am most excited about comes out on the 19th-HP #7 part 1. I can't wait. I have a friend at work that is going to the midnight release showing. But I'm sure we'll opt for a afternoon matinee. I just wish they were releasing both parts at the same time but unfortunately I will have to wait until next July for the Grand Finale.
Other than all that randomness not much has been going on. I may be planning a trip to Heber either Friday or sometime next week just to visit. Not sure when yet. Oh, and if this post wasn't random enough-I am LOVING the time change. I can actually 'see' when I'm driving in to LR. Its so nice to have the sun back out that early. So I am enjoying that. Anyways, alright, I think I'm finished writing random comments about everything!!

What else!??
I carved our lone pumpkin last night! Then I got to scare, I mean show Blake my handiwork :) We opted for a little pumpkin this year since we don't have much room ourselves! Isn't it just great? And then I had some extra time so I was also able to 'tweek' my design into the picture at the top. Too bad my carving skills aren't up to par just yet. Maybe next year. Most of our decorations are in storage so at least having a pumpkin was great. We've got some spider icicle lights hanging but thats about it. I also tweeked 1 of my favorite pictures & thought it fit in quiet nicely with the holiday season. Oh well, without further ado, here is our awesome pumpkin & accompanying awesome photo!

A crazy few days
Well, we've had another few busy weeks! I always seem to say that. Last week I had to go to court in Dumas, fun drive, HA! It really wasn't too bad but to go & sit & sit......& sit was SO boring. I wish they could time it a little better but I guess I don't get to decide that. So after sitting & waiting 3 hrs I finally got to testify. And I was asked 3 questions. Three. It just seems so ridiculous that I have to waste all of that time for 3 questions that they probably could've figured out without me but oh well. Then I thought it would be a pretty quiet week for me, I wish! I got asked to be a part of a fundraiser for United Way so I will really start on that next week. One of the things we are defiantly doing is a book/dvd/cd sell. I have already went through my books & I picked out ~ 7 that I don't read anymore and can stand to part with. :) Also I was asked today to help out with another 2 projects at work so I will be busy busy busy!
We also have the AR vs Ole Miss game coming up next weekend. It is going to be a great game. Since it is televised & starting 'early' we are going up Friday & staying in Rogers. Its funny b/c a girl I work with has been planning on going to the game as well & I was talking about our reservations & she asked where we were staying. After I told her she started laughing b/c that is EXACTLY where they are staying in Rogers. So that will be fun. Our seats are lower level row 3, THREE!!! How awesome is that? I think these are seriously the best tickets we've ever gotten. We also have tickets to the UTEP game & my coworker is letting us have her parking pass for that game (last game of the season) and I am just as excited about that. We usually park at Fayetteville HS for the band, you know I like to support the band over all else!! We are also talking about going to a few UCA games before the season is over so we'll see.
Alright, don't have much else going on, I'm going to enjoy one of my last few episodes of Project Runway tonight, I wish that show was on all season.......oh well, just 1 more reason to look forward to Thursday night!!

Whats new?!
Well since its been a little while I thought I could spare to write an update. Not too too much going on, one thing I haven't had a chance to blog about is our new play pretties: Blake & I bought 2 jetski's!!! Purchasing them, getting them registered, and all that that entails has been fun (not) but we finally got everything finished up. We were able to try them out on the lake a few times & it has been a blast!
Something else fun-we went to the 1st Razorback game of the season last week. We had an awesome time cheering them on for the win against TN Tech. 44-3! Going to the game was so spur of the moment so that made it really fun too. I'm glad we can still be so spontaneous :) Plus since we waited until the very last moment we got a great price for the tickets! We also have tickets to go to the Ole Miss game in Oct, we are going to be 3rd row from the field! That is a 1st.
I am going to a baby shower for a friend of mine tomorrow & I'm excited to see her, its been awhile. Sorry, no diaper cake this time, I have been way too busy & I could not ever just find the time. So I will be in Heber tomorrow but I probably won't have that much time to visit with everyone, I might just get to stop in & see Tonya & the girls. :)
I am so ready for fall to start, we bought a very neat magazine about Halloween with lots of fun ideas & I can't wait to try some of them out. We probably aren't going to give out candy living here but I can still celebrate by ourselves! So I am already counting down until Halloween.....I am also looking forward to the 1st installment of the last HP movie coming out in Nov but I really don't need another reason to look forward to fall besides those 2 reasons!
Other than that its been pretty quiet, just busy trying to keep up with everything & lots of meetings and such. Anyways, I'll try to write more as things start to settle down-if they ever do!
